Good Luck in the Year of the Pig Chapter 46

Being told by his own son to be ashamed…

Lu Ying’s face was hot, and he was the first to react. He asked his son angrily: “What TV are you watching? Where did you see it?” He was still an innocent baby, he shouldn’t know anything about love and elopement -_-||

Lu Zaizai took it for granted, “Of course I watch it at home! In addition to cartoons, there are many other TV series and movies on TV. In fact, the one I just mentioned is not good, and neither the hero nor the heroine are good-looking.”

Qin Zhuopu’s shoulders shook, and Lu Ying blushed, feeling helpless. He didn’t expect Zaizai to watch these things, he thought the child only watched cartoons.

“Hey, Dad thought you only watched cartoons.” Lu Ying sighed.

Qin Zhuopu curbed his smile and said, “I’ll lock the other TV channels when we get back, so he can only watch children’s channels from now on.”

Lu Zaizai made a funny face and said mischievously, “Yeah, yeah, yeah! Lock them, I don’t like watching them anyway. TV for adults is too boring! It’s so annoying when they always cry and make noise.”

“Pfft…” Lu Ying covered his face and burst out laughing.

Qin Zhuopu didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry.

“Ahem, Zaizai thinks I’m in love with your dad, is Zaizai happy?” Qin Zhuopu asked his son tentatively, his face full of expectation.

In fact, Lu Zaizai didn’t really know much about love. But he knew that love was when people who liked each other were happy together. The classmates at school said the same thing. The classmates also said that Xu Sisi liked the class president, but unfortunately the class president liked Du Yuhan. Luo Xiaoyu was the worst, though, he liked both the class monitor and Chen Xiaobei! Everyone called him a skirt-chaser.

After hearing the question, Lu Zaizai tilted his head and thought seriously, poking his chin and not answering quickly. The little guy suddenly became so serious that the two adults were nervous. Qin Zhuopu patted Lu Ying on the back of his hand to comfort and gave him an encouraging smile.

Lu Zaizai thought that his father always liked his uncle. Every time his uncle came, his father had to buy a lot of dishes and fruits that his uncle liked and put them at home, and he was not allowed to taste them alone. What a stingy dad!

And Uncle liked Dad so much that he kept sending messages and videos to Dad when he took Zaizai out to play. He missed Dad more than Zaizai did! What an immature uncle, can’t live without Dad for a few days!

So Dad and Uncle must be very happy to be in love. Anyway, every time Uncle came over, the two of them smiled more than ever, and liked to hide from him to sneak a kiss, huh, did they think he didn’t notice anything?

He, Lu Zaizai, was the smartest!

Proudly straightening his back, Lu Zaizai nodded without hesitation, “I’m happy, I’m happy when Dad and Uncle are happy. I like Dad and I like Uncle, so you have to love each other well and not fall in love with anyone else. Skirt-chasing is the worst, do you know what I mean?”

“Hahaha…” Lu Ying couldn’t keep from laughing anymore.

Qin Zhuopu picked up his chubby son and twirled him around, giving him a big kiss on the cheek: “Thank you, my good son! Dads love you the most, too.”

Lu Zaizai was a bit dumbfounded and didn’t forget to remind him, “Uncle, I am not your good son.”

“……” Qin Zhuopu covered his face, feeling hurt, “I’m in love with your dad, we’re just like other people’s Mom and Dad. Other people have one dad and one mom, you have two dads, isn’t that good? In the future, you will be my son and I will be your father.”

Lu Zaizai pondered and shook his head, “But moms and dads are married, are Uncle and Dad married?”

“…no.” Qin Zhuopu choked.

“Then when you get married, be sure to let me know. I’ve never been a flower girl before. Our class president was a flower girl last week, and then she got a big box of candy and a red envelope and new clothes and a big toy! And walked the red carpet, awesome, right?” Lu Zaizai was full of envy and looked at Qin Zhuopu and his dad with bated breath.

Lu Ying instantly blushed, and Qin Zhuopu deliberately squeezed his palm, smiling at the cute chubby boy, “That’s a good point, Zaizai! Uncle is indeed only qualified to be your other dad once he is married to your dad. You are the cutest little baby.”

He cupped the child’s soft, chubby face and kissed it affectionately. Zaizai really deserved to be his, Qin Zhuopu’s, son, so capable and level-headed! Forget it, even when he calls him ‘Dad’, he won’t beat him, he’s such a sweet guy!

The Mid-Autumn Festival was coming soon; he would send his son a helicopter to make him happy.

“Right, right? Haha, I’m the best. Then we have a deal, Uncle and Dad get married and I will be the flower girl. The most important thing is not to forget to give the flower girl a gift!” Lu Zaizai squinted with a smile.

“Don’t worry, no one is qualified to be our flower girl but Zaizai.” Qin Zhuopu assured his son categorically, looking up and smiling at Lu Ying. Lu Ying covered his eyes; he didn’t want to look at this smug face.

Lu Zaizai hugged Qin Zhuopu’s neck and crawled onto his back, “Oh, I’m so tired. You guys ask so many questions. I’m sleepy. When can I get home?”

One second he was still a super chubby little man, and the next second he started to be coquettish and refused to get off Qin Zhuopu’s back.

Lu Ying’s mood today was simply a roller coaster of excitement. Only now did he calm down a little bit. He tapped on his son’s head and said, “Fat boy, don’t toss your Uncle, come down, Dad will carry you.”

“No, I’ll carry him, it’s not the first time anyway.” Qin Zhuopu gladly picked up the fat boy and walked forward, the heavy weight on his body feeling like the most solid happiness.

“I like it when Uncle carries me, Uncle’s back is wider…” Lu Zaizai was drowsy, his face pressed against Qin Zhuopu’s shoulder, squeezed into a cute fleshy curve.

Lu Ying couldn’t help but gently pinch the bun-like face, smiled and didn’t say anything else, letting Qin Zhuopu carry the child on his back while he stayed close to the two, putting his hand on his son’s back to prevent him from slipping off.

“Zaizai’s weight is scary, if you can’t carry him anymore just tell me and I’ll switch with you.” Lu Ying gently reminded Qin Zhuopu.

Qin Zhuopu smiled, “Don’t underestimate me, no matter how heavy my son is, he won’t be heavier than you. My hands were shaking after carrying you for so long.”

Lu Ying gave him a look and smiled sweetly again, “Qin Zhuopu always strives for improvement. Make sure you keep up the good work.”

“Don’t you worry.” Ever since he knew his lover was a real fairy, Qin Zhuopu dared not slacken off even a little. Even if he was busy, he had to exercise! For the sake of lifelong happiness and sexual well-being.

The two adults chatted in slightly subdued voices, and Lu Zaizai lying on his uncle’s back had long since fallen asleep, making subtle snoring sounds. When they left Qixia Mountain and passed through Lujia Village, the road grew wider, and brighter lights illuminated the way home.

Late at night, the two settled down and finally lay comfortably in bed.

“…my arms are soft.” Wearing a .99 t-shirt, Qin Zhuopu hissed, trying to raise his arms.

“I told you to switch with me, but you wouldn’t let me, what a show-off. I’ll give you a massage.” Lu Ying sat on his knees next to Qin Zhuopu and gave his arms, shoulders and neck a good massage.

Qin Zhuopu’s eyes were closed and he was enjoying himself immensely.

“Lu Ying, what do you think?” Qin Zhuopu suddenly asked.

Lu Ying raised his eyebrows, “Huh? What do you mean?”

“Of course it’s about making your son a flower girl. Since you promised it to the child, you must do it. You can’t let the child down.”

Lu Ying curled his lips and hummed softly, “I didn’t promise to him, it was you alone.” He slapped the man on the shoulder heavily.

“May I ask who I’m marrying alone?” Qin Zhuopu said coolly.

Lu Ying smiled cheekily, “That’s your business too, you can marry whoever you like.”

“Pfft… okay, that’s right.” Qin Zhuopu raised his hand and dragged Lu Ying into his arms and kissed him fiercely: “I have liked only you in my life. I thought about marrying you seven years ago. At that time, you were still young and I never told you.”

“…do you really want to get married?” Lu Ying was surprised. “But how can we two men get married?”

“Silly, of course, to get married abroad.”

“You don’t want to?” Qin Zhuopu stared at him.

Lu Ying poked his collarbone and muttered softly, “I don’t know, I’ve never thought about it.” Seven years ago his greatest pleasure was eating and playing. He really didn’t have the same kind of mind as Qin Zhuopu. Then, until now, he had been so busy that marriage was someone else’s business in his eyes, something distant, something completely irrelevant to him.

But the truth was he was moved by the words Lu Zaizai said, just a little bit.

Qin Zhuopu, silent, slowly raised his hand to rub Lu Ying’s hair: “Then you start to think from today. You just need to understand your heart. I want to marry you, think about it when you have time, okay?”

“…en.” Lu Ying nodded.

After kissing Lu Ying’s forehead, Qin Zhuopu whispered, “This is enough, I can take my time and wait.”

Qin Zhuopu took a few extra days off this time and stayed with the two of them through the Mid-Autumn Festival before leaving. When he returned to Guanlan City, he didn’t rush to the company, but first went to the old mansion to visit his grandfather.

When he went there, the old man was in the courtyard, along with Qin Zhuopu’s mother and a certain familiar lady. It was Yu Yourong’s mother, his mother’s old classmate, Aunt Su; Qin Zhuopu walked up to them without changing his expression.

“Grandpa, Mom, Auntie.”

“Zhuopu is back?” The old man immediately sat up, “Why didn’t you say in advance you were coming back? I’d ask Sister Yuan to make you some delicious food to supplement your diet.”

Qin Zhuopu felt helpless; he didn’t know what was going on with his grandfather but every time Grandpa knew he went to see Lu Ying, he would make sure to have some tonics made for him when he came back… incredible!

“Dad, Zhuopu looks like he’s grown stronger, don’t feed him with tonics blindly.” Mrs. Qin helplessly reminded the old man that it would not be good if he accidentally over-supplemented his grandson. She didn’t care if her son was fat or ugly, but obviously her son himself cared. She had even heard her son’s assistant say that Zhuopu was now paying great attention to maintaining his body. For what purpose, it went without saying.

“Nephew is really growing more and more energetic. His body is exemplary, unlike my Yourong who is a very picky eater and is particular about eating light. He is too thin.” Aunt Su’s eyes were full of appreciation.

Qin Zhuopu smiled and asked the driver to bring over a pile of food, saying, “Lu Ying has made a lot of delicious food for me to bring back. They all are the freshest desserts from this morning. Let’s try them together, Grandpa.”

“Lu Ying made them? Good, I happen to be a bit hungry.”

“Grandpa, have this sugar-free snack.”

“En, it tastes so good!” The old man praised genuinely and couldn’t help but nag, “I remember Lu Ying’s favourite dish when he came to our house was the braised pig’s trotters made by Sister Yuan. You should find a way to bring them to him next time. Or you’d better bring him home to eat the freshest! And that kid Zaizai, watching him eat is so refreshing.”

“Grandpa, I know how you feel.” Qin Zhuopu was helpless.

Ms. Su also tasted the dessert, didn’t hesitate to praise and asked, “The craftsmanship is really good. Is this Lu Ying the baker or your family?”

The old man glanced at his daughter-in-law lightly, and Mrs. Qin tilted her head and smiled at her old classmate, “You also know that my Zhuopu only likes boys, and Lu Ying is the one Zhuopu likes. He sent these things to pay respect to the Old Master.”

“Ah, oh oh oh, so it’s my nephew’s boyfriend. It’s not often that you find a boy with such good skills. Nephew is really lucky.” Ms Su’s smile was wide and fake.

“It is indeed a blessing for me, thank you, Auntie.” Qin Zhuopu smiled warmly and said to his mother and the old man, “I still have things to do at the company, so I’ll leave first.”

“Go ahead, go ahead, do your business.” The old man waved his hand.

“Zhuopu, wait.” Mrs. Qin got up quickly, and when she saw her son turn around, she said, “Yesterday your uncle called and told me that your grandma is having her 86th birthday this year. Although it’s not a round date, Grandma thinks about having a lively event and wants to ask you about your plans. If you don’t have time, then forget it.”

Qin Zhuopu was taken aback. He instantly understood what Grandma meant. Grandma had a big event last year when she was 85, and she said she would not do it again this year. Now Grandma wanted to celebrate her birthday, but it was just a pretext to get him to bring Lu Ying and Zaizai.

“I see, I’ll ask later and tell Grandma.” Qin Zhuopu told the truth, turned around and left.

Mrs. Qin sighed, filled with helplessness. Even this had to be discussed with Lu Ying personally to have an answer. His son now completely depended on Lu Ying’s decisions. And Lu Ying was so stubborn and refused to set foot in their house because…

Not long after Qin Zhuopu left, Ms. Su couldn’t sit still anymore and got up to leave. Mrs. Qin was also about to go home, just in time to accompany Ms. Su.

In the car, Ms. Su sighed and said bluntly: “It seems that my Yourong has no fate with my nephew.”

How could Mrs. Qin dare to mention that matter now? If she mentioned any blind date, her son would really be separated from her, and even the old man would scold her. Fortunately, she didn’t promise anything clearly at the beginning, just said some vague things, so no one’s feelings were hurt.

“Your Yourong is a very good boy, so you don’t have to worry about finding a good match.”

“I hope your words will come true.” Ms. Su smiled, “The children are not destined, so adults can’t help it. It’s good enough to have a cup of tea and a chat with an old friend now. I’m not as good as I used to be, and you’re the only one who doesn’t look down on me.”

“Don’t say that, we’ve been classmates for so many years.”

“Thank you very much indeed, if it wasn’t for your help, I don’t know what Yourong and I would do.”

“Don’t be polite, it’s all little things. I’m just doing it as a convenience, it’s still up to Yourong to show how artistic and profound he is. If he has that ability, it’ll take just a little effort from me.”

“Thank you so much…”

After sending Ms. Su home, Mrs. Qin received a call from her son before she had time to sit down.

“Mom, there’s something I need to talk to you about.”

Mrs. Qin was curious: “What is it?”

Qin Zhuopu sneered, “I want to tell you about Yu Yourong. Last time he went to the bakery where Lu Ying worked and almost slapped Lu Ying. If I hadn’t stopped him in time, can you imagine the consequences?”

Mrs. Qin was stunned and asked hurriedly, “What do you mean? He went to fight with Lu Ying? Why did he hit Lu Ying?” She was genuinely shocked. Yu Yourong in her eyes was an excellent top student like her son. His quality was certainly not bad, but he was beating people?

“Mom, you have a very general idea about him. How many times have you met him in total? You don’t know him at all. Yu Yourong and his mother went back to China because they were expelled from his father’s side. They came back to develop here and need more people to back them up. What he was looking for was not a lover, but a backer, someone who could support him playing art and give him a decent living. As soon as he came back to China, he came after me. If I was willing, why would they need to find you? I broke up with him when I was studying in the United States. Not to mention that I like Lu Ying, even if I didn’t like anyone and ended up alone, there would be no way I’d want that kind of person.”

Mrs. Qin was startled again and raised her voice to ask, “Wait, you’ve known him before?” She had absolutely no idea! Yu Yourong was always saying “senior brother” without even mentioning it to her.

“He is actually bisexual and absolutely hedonistic,” Qin Zhuopu affirmed. “He was dating me for about a week when I found out he was doing crazy things during a party. I broke up with him completely. Now he’s back and has a crooked idea. I wouldn’t care about him but he brought a foreigner to Lu Ying’s shop who asked Lu Ying to accompany him. When Lu Ying didn’t agree, Yu Yourong tried to hit him. He’s really capable!”

“…why didn’t you say so earlier!” Mrs. Qin was so angry that she wanted to vomit blood. She never expected that the junior she thought was very well behaved, talented and virtuous, had given her son a green hat when he was studying. And now when he came back, he was still arrogant and domineering. Even though she and Lu Ying were at odds with each other, she had never thought of asking anyone to beat him up, let alone bringing a foreigner to humiliate Lu Ying. It was simply tasteless and mean!

“Did Ms. Su come to see you today to ask for your help to make Yu Yourong’s art exhibition in Guanlan City run smoothly?”

Mrs. Qin was in the midst of her anger and said stiffly, “That’s right. Yu Yourong’s art exhibition has done well in Caifeng City and he is now quite well-known. This year, he is planning to hold the exhibition in Guanlan City, but he needs approval from above, so his mother asked me to help him. I thought it was a matter of a little effort to help them out, but I didn’t expect… why didn’t you tell me that he treated you like that before?”

Qin Zhuopu laughed and said, “You didn’t let me say a word and directly arranged a blind date for me at the dining table. In front of so many elders, what did you want me to say? You kept praising him how good and well-behaved he was. If I said he was not good at all then, it was still a question of whether you believed me or not.”

“…you!” Mrs. Qin’s chest tightened, “Of course I believe what you said.”

“Anyway, I’ve told you today. Whether you care or not is up to you. Why do you think he didn’t apply for his art exhibition on his own? He’s not that incapable. He ran off to bully Lu Ying and still wants to open an art exhibition? I’ve been kind enough to him.” After Qin Zhuopu finished speaking, he simply hung up the phone.

Mrs. Qin’s face alternated between blue and red as she listened to the beeping busy tone. She then quickly dialled a phone number and huffed, “Yu Yourong and his art exhibition, forget it!” Having sex with both men and women, arrogant and hitting people, what a trash! Mrs. Qin finished the phone call and immediately blacklisted her old classmate Ms. Su, feeling especially upset. She was genuinely happy to be reunited with her old classmate, and she really wanted to help her when she saw that her old classmate was not doing as well as she used to, but she never expected this kind of situation. She became more and more aware of the question whether she had been too confused over the years.

After a tiring day at work, with Zaizai already asleep, lying in bed after the shower was the moment Lu Ying enjoyed the most and he had no qualms about video chatting with Qin Zhuopu.

Lu Ying, who was lying on the pillow at the moment, looked a little dumbfounded, “Ah, your grandma’s birthday party?”

“Yes, November 8th is Grandma’s 86th birthday. Grandma likes Zaizai very much and especially wants to meet you. Do you want to come?” Qin Zhuopu didn’t say that if Lu Ying didn’t go, Grandma wouldn’t host the celebration.

“…this…” Lu Ying’s expression was hesitant; he sighed: “I go to work almost every day, what should I do?”

“Just say if you want to go or not. If you want to go, I will personally ask Boss Yang for leave.”

Lu Ying muttered, “I don’t know… I have to think about it.”

“Then think about it. Don’t force yourself if you don’t want to go.”

“It’s not that I don’t want to…” Lu Ying pondered. He had read the chat and he felt that Grandma really liked Zaizai, and she gave such a generous birthday red envelope. She seemed to be really different from her daughter Mrs. Qin.

He… he actually quite liked someone who was as refreshing as Grandma!

A few seconds later Lu Ying smiled and nodded, “I’ve thought about it, I’ll go!”

“Really?” Qin Zhuopu didn’t expect Lu Ying to agree so quickly.

“Of course! There’s so much delicious food waiting for me, why wouldn’t I go?” Lu Ying laughed playfully.

Qin Zhuopu smiled and scolded, “Foodie.”

Lu Ying’s consent made him happy, and he was hurriedly urging, “Then I’ll pick you up a day early, and I’ll ask for leave for Zaizai from school.”

“Come on, you’re not his guardian, I’ll just ask for leave from the teacher.”

“It’s all right, you go to sleep. Good night.”

“Good night.”

Since Lu Ying had decided to go to Qin Zhuopu’s grandma’s birthday party, he was worried about what the best gift would be. Although Qin Zhuopu said he didn’t need to prepare anything, Lu Ying also wanted to show his feelings. For Zaizai’s birthday, Grandma gave him a big red envelope of 660,000 yuan. It would be unconscionable for him not to give a single penny to Grandma for her birthday. In the end, it was Grandpa Lu who took the initiative to approach him and gave him an old ginseng, asking him to take it as a birthday gift (the older the root, the higher its medicinal value is).

Lu Ying held the ginseng box, “Grandpa, this is very expensive, isn’t it?”

Lu Qianchuan said, “Yangyang said it’s worth a couple of million.”

“…why didn’t you give it to me before?” Lu Ying was stunned.

“You don’t eat it.”

“I could take it and exchange it for money.”

“Then go exchange it now.” Lu Qianchuan didn’t care.

“……” Lu Ying was helpless, “I really want to exchange it…o(╥﹏╥)o”

“Exchange if you want to, it’s not like anyone is stopping you.” Lu Qianchuan said with amusement, “Grandpa still has some valuable things there, next time I’ll give them all to you.”

“Why didn’t you give them before?” Lu Ying was speechless.

“You didn’t ask me.”

“……” Lu Ying took the box, “Thank you, Grandpa, for lending it to me. Leave the rest for Xiaolu. You don’t have a job or income now, you rely on Brother Yang to support you and the child. If you have any other goodies, hurry up and give them to Brother Yang to deal with.”

Lu Qianchuan smiled: “Who says I don’t have a job? I’ve already found a job that is close to home and doesn’t interfere with bringing up the child.”

Lu Ying was surprised: “What kind of job?”

“Security guard in the community.”

It didn’t matter what Lu Ying was thinking at the moment, but he soon found out that Grandpa Lu’s security guard work had been scrapped by Brother Yang after a day of work. So, Grandpa Lu became a jobless guy again. Oh no, he was a full-time dad of the new era. After learning the news, Lu Ying breathed a sigh of relief. A security guard might be attacked some day; he was really afraid that Grandpa Lu’s temper would rise and then he would be so angry that he would harm someone.

When everything was ready, on November 7th, Lu Ying and his son dutifully waited for Qin Zhuopu to pick them up.

Qin Zhuopu told them to pack their bags and wait by the school playground. Lu Ying was puzzled as to why they didn’t wait at home or in front of the community.

The school playground was empty at the moment, and the headmaster came over at some point to chat with him. Lu Ying was flattered. He talked to the headmaster about his child’s situation at school. He had to admire Qin Zhuopu for being rich and able to do things. The headmaster knew everything about his son’s situation so well one might have thought he was a class teacher.

Lu Zaizai was gnawing on an apple, bored, when suddenly he saw a shadow flying in the sky in the distance. Then he heard the sound of a helicopter. He couldn’t help staring. Since he was a little baby, as long as he saw a plane or a helicopter flying over the sky, he liked to watch it!

Wow, that helicopter was so cool, it was coloured like Optimus Prime!

Wow, there were three big characters on it that look familiar, ‘Lu Zaizai’!

Lu Zaizai was dumbfounded, and so was Lu Ying. Until now, he didn’t know Qin Zhuopu’s intentions!

The headmaster smiled and said, “Mr. Qin told me long ago that the application for this route had passed and the helicopter would borrow the school playground for a while today, just to pick you up and leave.” This Mr. Lu’s family was really lucky, but he was also lucky to know Mr. Qin. The school would soon have an additional library building!

Lu Zaizai almost choked on his apple, and then hooted, “Wow! Wow!”

Lu Ying looked up at the sky; only when Qin Zhuopu actually stepped out of the helicopter did he finally exhale.

“Wow, Uncle, I love you the most!” Lu Zaizai quickly jumped over to Qin Zhuopu and gave him a bear hug.

Qin Zhuopu touched his head, “Didn’t I say before I’d give you a helicopter? Isn’t this one pretty cool?”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah! It’s so cool!” Lu Zaizai was no longer surprised by Qin Zhuopu’s generosity; he had seen it all before when he was playing abroad anyway.

“Go up and have a look for yourself.”

Qin Zhuopu sent the boy up and walked over to Lu Ying.

“Headmaster, thank you for today.”

“You’re welcome, you’re welcome, Mr. Qin, take care, Mr. Lu, take care.” The headmaster kept shaking their hands.

When Qin Zhuopu led Lu Ying into the helicopter, Lu Ying finally spoke, “You bought this helicopter specially for Zaizai?”

“Yes, he really likes it. It’s a funky style, and I changed the colours and wrote his name on it. It’s just for him to have a good time once in a while, to make him happy.”

Lu Ying sighed, “You just spoil him.” Wouldn’t you be even more outrageous if you knew he was your own son?

“I know in my heart that Zaizai is like you, he will never learn to be bad.”

Lu Ying’s mouth curled in a smile, “That’s for sure.”

Qin Zhuopu couldn’t resist kissing him.

The family started their trip happily.

Zaizai: I like planes.

Mr. Qin: Buy.

Zaizai: I like amusement parks.

Mr. Qin: Buy.

Zaizai: I like the stars in the sky.

Mr. Qin: Buy.

Zaizai: I like Dad.

Mr. Qin: Thanks.

Zaizai: I’m not talking about you…

Reporter: I heard that Mr. Qin gave you a villa for your birthday in the first year after you met?

Lu Ying: Yes.

Reporter: What did you give Mr. Qin for his birthday?

Lu Ying: A pair of piggy couple pendants for 9.99.

Mr. Qin: And yourself ^_^

      1. Sigh…. You think you’re reading a cute gay fic…. Boom biphobia… In any case you have to shut your brain off to read most Chinese webnovels in the genre. Still cute though

      2. Nothing to say, it is actually there 🙁 🙁
There are quite a lot of those annoying little things you need to ignore when reading Chinese BL… I actually want to vomit blood every time I read about withered, wrinkled, soon-to-die-of-old-age 50-year-olds 🙂

  1. wow, the casual biphobia hurt. you would think you could expect more from an author who is writing a story about a gay couple but nah.

    1. While I agree with you on biphobia, you sure sound entitled. You know what? Don’t “expect more” from the author, the author doesn’t owe you anything.

  2. Well, I’m glad Yourong’s out of the picture (or so it seems to me) I’m okay with how he was dealth with as his role really wasn’t prominent.
In any case, Mrs. Qin needs to work more on her views.

    1. You know when I really hated him? When he came to the bakery and deliberately talked in a complicated English to the employees. People like that, I met them in real life. Again, they don’t do anything criminal… just humiliating people because they can.

  3. I do wish the cheating incident could have been addressed without overt biphobia, but I’ve seen such things happen over and over again in real life, so unfortunately people do develop biases; authors aren’t obligated to only write about characters with perfectly politically correct views.

    1. I agree, repeating that the guy is bisexual is really unnecessary. I don’t know if it’s actually the author’s way of characterisation or her subconsciousness 🙂 🙂
